And now we get to see Rafael too! I gave Tom some fairly vague description of Rafael wandering through the panels and all that, but he ran with it and I think it turned out pretty well. His bowtie looks a little different than I remember it though. Since I’m staying home with Michael sick today, I don’t really have time to poke through the archives and see if I’m crazy.

I find it interesting that despite the fact that Rafael has lived with Moe and Derek before, he feels the need to reintroduce himself. Then again, I guess since we’re doing a meta joke this time anyways, having him say hi to a new audience directly isn’t totally strange.
Also, is it weird that Derek would have a public lavatory sign on his bathroom door at home? I say it’s par for the course.
I see it as my homage to the first comic with Rafael, when it looked like he could only say “Hello my name is Rafael.”
As for the lavatory sign, if having a coke machine doesn’t seem odd, I’d say a public lavatory sign is downright normal.
