Thus begins the adventure once again! The boys let me update the characters’ looks for this go around… Dave and Ray have put together a lot of scripts. Now I just need to get going on getting them all drawn. The hardest part is trying to figure out a method for coloring them and having them look OK.Â
Now that Maya can read, it is a little more fun to do these as she likes to play along and read them. Thankfully, we’ve cleaned up the language a bit and the other stuff goes over her head.
I just want to say welcome back to all our fans who have been clamoring for new Monkey House strips for the last 5 years. I couldn’t even go to the grocery store without being harassed!
First off, what a joy it is to see this comic alive again.
Secondly, that Kazaam poster in the background was inspired by my real life Kazaam movie poster that yes I do still own and have hung on my wall before, although currently not. Hmm, now that I think about it, I totally should rehang it, at a 45 degree angle of course!
I also just wanted to say that I owe Tom for having Derek wear a Pop Co T-shirt. For those that do not know Pop Co is a sketch comedy show out here in Hollywood that I am in charge of.
Now, if only I could get some Pop Co shirts made for real!
