It’s fun to offend
For some reason, people get very annoyed when I tell them that I’m rooting for the Red Wings to lose early in the playoffs. But the longer the Wings are in the playoffs, the more likely it is that bars & restaurants will have a hockey game on instead of a baseball game. And I’d rather watch a meaningless Devil Rays / Indians game than the Stanley Cup Finals.
