Passing the buck
If you hate the new character, you can blame Ray, who suggested the idea. If you love it, Tom & I take all the credit. Initially we were going to have his head just be cut off by the top of the panel, but as Tom pointed out, penguins have their most interesting features in their face, so we compromised with having Rafael go over the top of the panel.
